Now, wouldn’t that be something!.Speaking of Chris and the yard, he just came in from the deck saying something about a tree fort… oh my…You know what we’re like really really good at around here?
Half-finished projects.Seriously, I’m pretty much the master of half-done, if I do say so myself.. Chris isn’t too bad either, except this time, he screwed up.I had a post all lined up about how we’ve had these half-built stairs leading up to our back deck for the past two months.
He must have been reading over my shoulder cause the guy went and finished the darn steps.Right out from underneath me and my beloved blog.. Now it’s still a big ol’ mess back there, but it’s definitely not as ridiculous as having just the two bottom steps and then nothing.. Our house had this big long giant humongous ramp across the entire back of the house.
He’s been working at tearing that down to make room for a big ground level patio.
At the time I took these photos, at least that little project was still half-done..They last for weeks and they’re kind of fun and tropical-looking..
It only took me about 10 minutes and since I used the same basic ideas as a layout I knew would work, it didn’t make me panic and think that nothing would ever look good in this house ever and how are we ever going to find time to actually renovate anyway?.No, that didn’t happen this time.
Thank goodness, right? The mind of a blogger can be a scary place..
